Want a virtual girlfriend? There’s an app for that.
Lonely iPhone users will no longer be left behind as Konami announces Love Plus app for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The app will have three different versions — Love Plus iM, Love Plus iR and Love Plus iN which all three will be made available at the iPhone app store on April 5 at 600 JPY each.
One app will feature one of the main girls from the DS game, Manaka Takane, Rinko Kobayakawa, Nene Anegasaki respectively.
Each app has different features such as a clock feature where each time you tap the screen, the lovely girls will tell you the time but not only that but their voice changes depending on the time and season. Another feature of the app is a calendar and scheduler feature, where you can schedule your dates with your girlfriend, virtual or otherwise.
But the feature that makes this app worth buying is the Augmented Reality (AR) feature that comes with the app where you take a picture of yourself together with your virtual girlfriend. AR is no stranger to Love Plus for Konami has already used this technology in their Valentines Day marketing gimmick and with their marketing collaboration with Pocky manufacturer, Glico.
Konami will be releasing updates to the apps from time to time. Their spring update will feature an alarm clock with voice, calendar sync and add-on compatibility with Love Plus map service. Summer update will add GPS compatibility.
