Last year, Japanese online services company, NEC Biglobe, announced of releasing an original comedy anime titled Yutori-chan which will be distributed through email to Biglobe’s users. Biglobe has released four preview episodes at the end of last year and some users uploaded those videos to the Internet.
The story revolves around a high school girl named Yutori-chan who has a part-time job at a medium sized toy company named Popū. Yutori deals with generation gaps between her and to her office mate named Tsumekomi-chan who is a university student from a prestigious university called “T Dai” and also a part-timer at the company. Both of them are being supervised by the company’s regular employee, Daikai-san.
The comedy anime features much of the staff from the Moetan anime, including director Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Hayate the Combat Butler, Zettai Karen Children, Nyan Koi!), original character designer POP, character designer/chief animation director Kouhaku Nishio (ToHeart2) and the anime studio Actas. Joining them is series script supervisor Miya Asakawa (Mars Daybreak, Shonen Onmyouji).
